Reconfigured Bank Office Space Utilized By Local Arts Program

Gorham Savings Bank is pleased to announce a unique local partnership with the Gorham Arts Alliance (GAA) to utilize the first floor of its Operations Center in Gorham for their school aged enrichment programs, homeschool and special needs art and dance programs, as well as adult education classes.

The Arts Alliance was looking for a new home to accommodate growing demand for its programs. The Bank had available space as the result of more permanent flexible work arrangements for employees. Both parties worked diligently to ensure GAA could move in before the start of the school year. GAA was granted a temporary occupancy permit while the Bank continues to build out the area for their use. Gorham Savings is relocating facilities from the first floor, including a lunchroom and fitness room, as well as reconfiguring space on the second floor.

Since its founding, the Gorham Arts Alliance has grown to offer preschool, school-aged, and adult programming with the arts as the centerpiece. Recently the organization had started to outgrow its home on School Street in Gorham, which it’s filled since 2014. The move to Wentworth Drive will allow GAA to continue to support the growing needs of Gorham and neighboring communities. It will also afford GAA the opportunity to expand its outdoor art-based environment education program by utilizing the Tannery Brook Trail system next door.

Construction is expected to be completed by late fall. GSB is excited to welcome our new tenant to the building and looks forward to seeing students’ artwork adorn our halls!
