GSB Hires New Chief Operating Officer

Gorham Savings Bank named Dimitri Michaud as its new chief operating officer. He will report to Steve deCastro, the bank’s president and CEO.

Michaud brings nearly two decades of experience in business strategy and operations from leadership roles in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the bank, Michaud was chief operating officer for HealthInfoNet, Maine’s statewide health information exchange. He also served as director of strategy and planning at UNUM and deputy commissioner of finance for the State of Maine. In his roles, he led technical and financial teams focused on executing strategic priorities.

“Dimitri’s a strategic thinker with an excellent track record of delivering on process improvement goals,” said deCastro. “We’re fortunate to add him to our senior leadership team.”

Michaud holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College and Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He serves as a trustee for the Portland Museum of Art and Bigelow Labs and is a board member for the Town of Kennebunkport Budget Board, and The Maine Health and Higher Education Facilities Authority. Michaud resides in Kennebunkport with his family.
