GSB Fills Newly Created EVP Position

Gorham Savings Bank, a leading Southern Maine financial services institution, has promoted Kim Donnelly to Executive Vice President, Director of Wealth and Business Services.

Donnelly comes to the role with more than 25 years of banking experience working directly with customers. She’s led the Business Banking division since joining GSB in 2011, shepherding its growth from a small staff to a robust team serving over 1,000 customers and managing multi-million-dollar business loans. During her tenure, she’s developed innovative programs such as Forward with Funding, a hands-on workshop offered to small business owners who want to position themselves to secure financing. And in the last year, she was instrumental in helping lead the bank’s U.S. Small Business Administration Payment Protection Program (PPP) initiative.

In her new role, Donnelly will oversee Gorham Savings Bank’s wealth management effort which includes Gorham Financial Group, myMoney@Work, and the Bank’s partnership with Bigelow Investment Advisors. Additionally, GSB’s Cash Management team will report to Kim. She’s tasked with working collaboratively across departments to build a more comprehensive, full-service banking experience that includes expanding the bank’s wealth management, business deposit, and payment services. Her office will remain at the bank’s One India Street location in Portland.

“As a longtime lender I saw first-hand that customer needs are often complex and can span the entire range of business and personal banking services. I’m thrilled to take on this challenge of seamlessly integrating the comprehensive financial services we offer into the customer experience,” said Donnelly.

“Kim’s played a major role in the bank’s success over the last decade. She’s greatly contributed to the strategic direction of the bank and in the development of our Business Banking division by being a relationship builder,” said Steve deCastro, president and CEO, Gorham Savings Bank, “Kim is the perfect person for this new and much needed position, and she will use those skills and her significant banking knowledge to meet customer needs across the financial spectrum.”
