Dick began serving Gorham Savings Bank as Director in July of 2005. Now retired, he was previously CFO and Senior Vice President for Dead River Company, a Maine-based company that distributes petroleum products and owns commercial real estate. His principal duties over his 31-year tenure involved financial and real estate matters.
Prior to joining Dead River, Roderick worked as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Young & Company in Portland, and earlier as a Naval flight officer based in Brunswick. In addition to his service for Gorham Savings Bank, he is a Trustee for the University of New England and a member and audit chair for the Catholic Diocese of Maine.
Previous non-profit chairman duties include Piper Shores, the Cancer Community Center, and the United Way of Eastern Maine.
Dick is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, received his Masters from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and his MBA from the University of Maine. Dick still holds his CPA license for the State of Maine.
Dick resides in Cape Elizabeth and has three grown children and eight grandchildren. He enjoys boating and fishing off the coast of Maine.
