Dennis joined Gorham Savings Bank as a Corporator in May of 2002 and was elected to the Board of Directors in March of 2003.
Before he retired in 2016, Dennis was President and CEO of Maine Behavioral Healthcare, which serves as a regional provider of mental health services working with individuals, hospitals and other organizations from across Maine, as well as a local provider of inpatient and outpatient services for individuals experiencing mental illness in southern Maine.
Dennis has advanced degrees in Public Administration from the University of Maine, as well as a Fellowship Recipient for Advanced Management Studies at the Yale School of Organization and Management, and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Dennis’ professional affiliations include past President, National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems, American Hospital Association, Maine Hospital Association and Member Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society in Public Administration. He is involved the local community as Past Chair and member of the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees and is also a Board Member of the University of Maine Foundation.
Dennis and his wife, Sandra, live in Freeport and have two grown children and several grandchildren. His personal interests include cross country skiing and photography.
